Our Baby is Two Groovy: An Inside Look at Our Daughter’s 2nd Birthday
Another year that felt like a week has flown by, and my once “little baby” is now a full blown two-year-old TODDLER.
Tati-mama turns TWO this week, so we celebrated in style with a “Two Groovy” celebration.
This year planning a birthday was a real challenge, if I’m being honest. We are in the middle of building a home, selling our current one, planning my companies largest event of the year, and life has been one big crazy-train (to say the least). All that to say, we pulled it off. And it all came together beautifully… as things tend to do…
So let’s get into the groovy details!
Last year we did a “One Sweet Peach” theme. This year I wanted to pick a theme that truly matched Tati’s personality… and one of my favorite things about this girl is she definitely share’s our families love of Earth, Wind & Fire. The girls got soul like her Pepi, mmmkay?
“True Groovy” was just too perfect!
The Picnic Moment
I’m so grateful to work with Wanderlust Picnics again! They also did Tati’s “One Sweet Peach” picnic, and I was so blown away last year, I had to ask her if she would do it again!
When I told her we were doing “Two Groovy,” she was all over it with creating a custom picnic theme and conceptualized, ordered, set-up and then even broke-down this entire picnic situation.
From the rugs, to the pillows, tables, teepee, bubble machine, the flowers, vases, and place settings, this is ALL the doing of Wanderlust Picnic, and it turned out even more beautiful than it was on paper.
The owner, Valerie, was also generous enough to provide a 20% discount for YOUR next luxury picnic with code “BRIANA20,” including this exact setup which you can book now on her website, called “Feeling Groovy.”
The Fringe Moment
Then we have this fringe wall moment of my dreams. I worked with the Party with Ava Etsy Shop, and all I had to do was share with her my party color theme, and she recommended the PERFECT backdrop colors and created this 7×7 foot fringe wall.
I love how lightweight it is. All it needed were a couple of command hooks to hang, and it added such a fun, festive vibe!
The Balloon Moment
Balloons always make such a huge impact. If you follow me on the gram, you know I love a good DIY balloon garland moment. But after having Dream Design Company spoil us at Tati’s One Sweet Peach with a professional install, it’s REALLY hard to want to go back to that DIY life.
There is a TRUE NOTICEABLE difference when a professional does it. The balloons are just better quality. They last longer, (these even withstood the heat). And these details?
There really isn’t matching that quality. A 7 foot peace sign? Are you kidding me?
The Volkswagen Moment
Did you really think I wasn’t going to take on a single DIY this party? I don’t think so. When Trav and I drove past this abandoned Cozy Coupe on the side of the road (right after I had JUST talked about seeing the CUTEST Volkswagen transformation of one on Pinterest), I knew it was a sign from the universe that I had to do it.
It was a project, but it was so worth it!
The Cake Moment
I live for this shag cake!
Something Sweet Bakery by Madeline did NOT disappoint.
She nailed the design perfectly. Loved the custom topper. And the lemon flavor with raspberry filling?? The perfect summer cake flavor!
The Sunglass Station Moment
The easiest and cutest little craft project!
Here’s the thing about pool parties… not everyone will want to get in the water. So having this little setup by the pool was a fun way for everyone to be around the action without having to be in the water!
I snagged all of these supplies on Amazon and the glasses ended up serving as party favors too.
