Job Description

ARM EnerTech LLC is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in our Energy & Power business. The Business Development Manager will spearhead business growth and market expansion for ARM Energy & Power. This role is primarily focused on sales, business development, and market penetration across the Mid-Atlantic region, with a strong emphasis on revenue generation and new client acquisition. The position requires identifying and securing new business opportunities in renewable energy, power distribution, grid modernization, and energy infrastructure development while establishing ARM Energy & Power as a market leader.

This role can be hybrid or in-person based out of any of our Mid-Atlantic Regional office locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive significant revenue growth through new business development in distributed energy, electrical infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales and performance metrics (annual revenue, new accounts, proposal win rate)
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and targeted outreach campaigns
  • Build and maintain relationships with utility companies (PPL, First Energy, Delmarva, BGE, PECO, etc.), renewable developers, and industrial clients
  • Attend industry events and conferences to generate quality leads and expand ARM's professional network
  • Develop winning proposals and sales strategies with compelling value propositions that highlight ARM's competitive advantages
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from qualification through contract negotiation and closure
  • Lead business development for key growth markets including:
  • Substation and transmission/distribution engineering
  • Power generation (solar, wind, microgrids, BESS)
  • Data center power solutions and AI infrastructure
  • Utility engineering services
  • Collaborate with ARM's engineering teams to translate client needs into tailored technical solutions
  • Develop persuasive ROI and business case materials for prospects
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and sales forecasts in the CRM system
  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform strategic business decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business, or related field)
  • 7+ years of business development or sales experience in technical fields
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in B2B environments
  • Experience selling to utilities, industrial clients, or renewable energy developers
  • Strong understanding of power/energy concepts and industry terminology
  • Exceptional prospecting, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial drive and hunter mentality
  • PE license or technical engineering background beneficial but not required.
