Join to apply for the Corporate Payroll Specialist role at Paychex . Overview The incumbent is responsible for entering and processing payroll, running reports, and other payroll-related tasks. This high-volume, deadline-driven position requires accuracy and a customer-service focus. Responsibilities Review and key payroll-related data necessary to process and meet weekly and bi-weekly payroll requirements. Maintain knowledge of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws at the federal and state level, serving as a subject matter expert and developing trusted relationships with both internal and external partners. Research and resolve employee and system problems to ensure accurate payroll, corresponding with internal and external departments and employees to resolve concerns. Provide first-level response to all inquiries via email, mail, and phone, in accordance with department policy, to ensure quality service standards are met. Generate and provide reports to supervisor and peers to ensure data accuracy and compliance with applicable federal and state law and Paychex policies, including Sarbanes Oxley. Engage in monthly team and department meetings to ensure continued technical and self-development; prepare and present specific topics if requested. Train new employees and cross-train existing employees on daily operational functions to ensure technical skills are transferred consistently. Write and review department procedures to keep resources up to date and accurate, recommending changes when necessary. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Accounting/Business/Finance – Preferred 1 year of experience in payroll processing Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, the starting base pay range for this position is $16.72 – $26.28 hourly.
