This is an entry-level 1099 contract position for a Data Scientist, located on-site in Houston, TX. The Data Scientist will report to the Vice President of Claims and periodically to Eric Dick, the firm's founder. The Data Scientist will be responsible for building and implementing automations through platforms like Make and Zapier, analyzing datasets, developing data models, and conducting statistical analysis. The role requires extensive use of AI platforms including Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok to enhance efficiency and innovation. Day-to-day tasks include workflow automation, data cleaning, developing processes for automations to correctly store and clean data, data mining, predictive modeling, creating specialized LLMs, and reporting insights to support legal strategies and business decisions. We will provide comprehensive training, but candidates must be self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities to increase efficiency through automations and data science applications. The ideal candidate actively seeks innovative solutions and continuously looks for ways to optimize workflows and processes. No formal work experience required.
