Their partnership also enables the expansion of our Metro Detroit Service Center operations into a larger, state‑of‑the‑art facility. Key Responsibilities We're looking for an experienced Electric Motor Mechanic to join our growing team. In this role, you'll use your technical expertise, analytical mindset, and attention to detail to repair industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment, all while contributing to our culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities Include Diagnosing, disassembling, repairing, assembling, and preparing equipment for shipment Performing mechanical rebuilds on electric motors, pumps, and fans Measuring and recording data using precision tools (dial indicators, micrometers, vibration meters, etc.) Conducting electrical tests using multimeters, meggers, and Baker instruments Measuring winding resistance, RTD and heater resistances, and mechanical fits/clearances Participating in daily discussions on customer products and workflow Qualifications 5+ years of AC/DC motor repair experience 2+ years of team coordination or lead experience Strong technical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsAbility to diagnose and repair motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Self‑starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to sit, stand, or kneel for extended periods What We Offer Competitive Pay based on experience, qualifications and education Paid Time Off On-the-Job Training 401(k) Employer Match Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans Relocation Assistance (if needed — if you're the right fit, we'll make it happen) Opportunities for growth within a stable, family-oriented company Equal Opportunity Employer HECO, Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, or veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr HECO
