Job Title: Motor Mechanic Compensation: $30-$42 per hour (Based on Experience and shift choice) Company Overview: Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Motor Mechanics to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling and reassembling a variety of large industrial electric motors, ensuring they are fully operational, meet safety standards, and are ready for customer use. This is a hands‑on position ideal for candidates with motor repair experience, particularly in industrial or maritime settings. Key Responsibilities: Disassemble and reassemble motors, pumps, and generators up to 12,000 HP. Troubleshoot mechanical issues such as oil leaks, vibration problems, and other performance concerns. Perform test runs on rebuilt motors to verify performance and functionality. Handle miscellaneous mechanical tasks as needed to maintain optimal equipment performance. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling motors, pumps, and generators. Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications. Must have own tools (testing equipment is provided by the company). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Physically able to safely operate equipment and handle materials up to 50 pounds; capable of standing, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods. Availability for overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed to meet customer requirements. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in motor shops, with a background in paper mills or shipboard mechanics (not nuclear motors). Mechanic experience with large industrial motors, particularly in non‑nuclear environments. Note: This position requires a successful drug and background screening.
