Overview

Amazon Leo is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment
• Respond to unplanned maintenance requests
• Read, analyze and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, electrical diagrams to diagnose and repair electrical issues
• Basic (or better) understanding of PLC systems
• Test and repair pneumatic assemblies
• Understand and analyze the technical specifications of mechatronic systems, subsystems, modules and components
• Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance to detect and prevent problems
• Use troubleshooting skills to identify and prevent possible problems and failures, and to systematically and intelligently make repairs
• Incorporate relevant technical literature into the understanding of system operation and coordinate efforts with other technicians involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components
• Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment and components to ensure that systems function properly
• Communicate with machine operators, and operate equipment to detect equipment problems, analyze malfunctions, and verify system problems
• Observe and incorporate safety standards and regulations required for safe operation of the system

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
• With or without reasonable accommodations, must be willing and able to work with powered lift equipment for example forklift or scissor lifts
• Valid Drivers license and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria
• With or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Pay and Benefits

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $38.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 4+ years working experience with installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining electro-mechanical systems and devices
• With or without reasonable accommodations, must be willing and able to work with powered lift equipment for example forklift or scissor lifts
