About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of fundraising and advancement activities. This includes the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising programs, donor cultivation, and stewardship. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and key stakeholders to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization and to support its mission of advancing research and innovation in the fields of optics and photonics. Applicants for the Executive Director of Development position at the company should have a proven track record in fundraising, with experience in major gifts, planned giving, and capital campaigns. The role requires a visionary leader with the ability to inspire and engage donors, as well as a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape. A background in the sciences, particularly in optics or related fields, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred, in a relevant field.
