Extrusion Blow Molding Technical Manager

Location: Springfield, MA

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Manager with deep expertise in Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) and Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) processes to join our team at our newly acquired Springfield, MA manufacturing facility. This individual will be the go-to processing expert, helping to optimize production, troubleshoot technical challenges, and support the integration of systems and processes post-acquisition.

This is a high-impact, standalone role ideal for someone passionate about plastics processing, who thrives in a collaborative environment, and is ready to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the on-site technical authority for all EBM and ISBM processing.
• Lead troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives related to plastics molding operations.
• Collaborate with plant leadership and corporate engineering to implement best practices and process enhancements.
• Support production teams with mold setups, processing parameters, and technical training.
• Assist in the integration of new technologies and production lines, especially during the post-acquisition phase.
• Document standard operating procedures and technical specs for new and existing lines.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering, maintenance, and operations for any technical escalations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a technical/processing role within plastics manufacturing .
• Strong expertise in Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) is required.
• Experience with Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) and PET processing is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of hands-on troubleshooting and process optimization.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and leadership teams.
• Comfortable in a hands-on, floor-based role — not a desk-only manager.
• Prior experience in decentralized, privately-held or recently acquired businesses is a plus.
