We are seeking a dedicated Facilities & Grounds Coordinator to oversee the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our two funeral home locations. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, professional, and welcoming environment for grieving families and visitors, while ensuring all operational systems and equipment run smoothly.

Location: Evans & Augusta, GA

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday - 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM ( Flexibility for on-call duties )

Key Responsibilities

• Support our maintenance professional with routine cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and parking areas.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or renovations.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to minimize disruptions.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and collaborate with the accounting department for orders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper handling of biohazardous materials.
• Oversee landscaping and exterior aesthetics, including lawn care.
• Assist with funeral service setup and breakdown, including room arrangements, flower delivery, and post-service cleaning.
• Participate in removals of deceased from homes and facilities with our specialized team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a background and drug screening
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance, janitorial services, or a related field.
• Technical training in facility maintenance is preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work discreetly and respectfully in a sensitive environment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks.
• Flexibility for on-call duties.
