Job Description

Ameritas Agency and Advisor Distribution is seeking a Finance Intern with the aptitude and desire to learn more about the field of financial planning. This intern will play a crucial role in the sales process allowing our representatives to provide the best financial products to our customers.

This internship will begin in May 2026. This is a hybrid role in Lincoln, NE working partially in-office and partially from home.  

What you do  

• Input information  and data into financial planning software to create client plans .  

• Update sales opportunities in Salesforce as they move through the sales cycle.  

• Produce illustrations for   life insurance and annuity case s for business, estate and retirement planning cases using a software tool called Life Design Analysis .  

• Create quarterly team production reports.  

• Provide general support to the Advanced Planning team.  

What you bring  

• Incoming junior studying finance, financial planning, or related business field preferred  

• Enrolled in a college program , at least part-time as defined by your institution , for the entire duration of the internship  

• Able to fulfill a long-term internship commitment (one to two years), working full-time in the summer and part-time during the school year  

• FT includes 30-40 hours a week  

• PT includes 15-20 hours a week  

• A keen interest in sales, finance, insurance, and/or financial planning  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

• Naturally self-motivated and eager to take initiative  

• Highly adaptable with the capability of learning new concepts quickly  

• Ability to ask questions and write accurately about the business  

• S trong relationship building skills
