BaseNYC is looking for freelance project managers+creative producers! As our team expands, Base is in search of multidisciplinary PMs/producers across branding, design, strategy, campaign, and digital projects. The role of the freelance PM is to architect and manage project processes in collaboration with the internal discipline leads while closely partnering with our clients. The freelance PM is a representative of BaseNYC and will be responsible for leading day-to-day coordination (internally and with the client), budget management, project planning, resourcing management, and building alignment across all internal and external stakeholders. A successful freelance project manager is expected to excel in: Strategic Management! Orchestrate and manage project processes with rigor, critical thinking, and clarity. Collaboration! Work to build successful relationships with clients, external collaborators, and internal teams to ensure excellence in creative output. Communication! Qualifications 6+ years in creative project management, preferably in an agency setting or internally at an enterprise-level brand Strong grasp of brand fundamentals (strategy, visual identity, design systems, guidelines, execution) Bonus if experienced in digital marketing or website design/development Demonstrated background in complex project management, including comprehensive oversight of large-scale project budgets/financials Experience with foundational branding or brand-led projects (i.e. creating brand identity, brand campaigns, website redesign, etc.) Familiar with tools like Figma, Slack, Adobe, and Google Suite A natural communicator who can navigate between clients, creatives, and internal leadership with ease Highly organized, solution-oriented, calm under pressure How to apply Please send the following to jobs-nyc@basedesign.com, using your full name and “Freelance PM” as the subject of your email.
