Job Description
We are looking for a skilled GitHub Platform Administrator to join the team at accentedge . In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our GitHub environment, ensuring efficient version control practices and enhancing collaboration among our development teams. You will play a key role in maintaining repositories, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting any issues that arise within the platform.
Requirements
• Experience : 3+ years of experience in version control systems, particularly with Git and GitHub.
• Technical Skills : Proficient in GitHub administration, including repository management, branch policies, and workflows.
• CI/CD Knowledge : Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices, including the use of tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Collaboration Tools : Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Trello, and understanding how they integrate with GitHub.
• Scripting Abilities : Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate repetitive tasks and enhance workflows.
• Problem-solving Skills : Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve issues related to the GitHub platform quickly and efficiently.
• Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with GitHub security practices and best practices for access control and compliance.
• Experience in onboarding and training team members on Git and GitHub usage.
• Understanding of containerization and microservices architecture as they relate to version control.
