Duties and Responsibilities


  • Sourcing and Candidate Identification
    • Identifying appropriate sourcing channels
    • Screening resumes and applications
    • Conducting initial phone screens


  • Candidate Assessment and Selection
    • Scheduling and conducting in-depth interviews
    • Evaluating candidate qualifications and fit
    • Providing feedback to hiring managers
    • Extending job offers


  • Onboarding and Process Improvement
    • Coordinating onboarding processes
    • Analyzing recruiting metrics
    • Identifying and implementing process improvements


  • Processing and Routing Direct Appointments
    • Assisting and Managing the Prevailing Wage process in partnership with the Office of Global Engagement





Time Allocation
  • 50% Time allocated to: Sourcing and Candidate Identification; Candidate Assessment and Selection; Onboarding and Process Improvement; Processing and Routing Direct Appointments; Assisting and Managing the Prevailing Wage process in partnership with the Office of Global Engagement
  • 30% Time allocated to: Talent Planning and Strategy; Employer Branding and Marketing; Compliance and Record-Keeping
  • 15% Time allocated to: Administrative Tasks
  • 5% Time allocated to: Additional Duties


Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years of previous recruitment experience

  • Communicate effectively at all levels of a large, complex organization in both written and oral forms through phone, email, and personal interactions.
  • Ability to deliver work on time, and to work effectively on an independent basis.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service in an academic environment, project a positive attitude, ability to display professionally mature behavior in challenging situations.
  • Proficient ability in MS Word document creation, familiarity with MS Excel spreadsheets, email, and management report creation as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and a deep commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Work with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Personal accountability with a desire for continuous improvement.
  • The ability to adapt in challenging situations and work autonomously with a strong commitment to team accountability.


Physical Demands
  • Work in a standard office environment.
  • Able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a scanner, copy machine, and printer.
  • Work using electronic mail, telephone, face-to-face discussions, and paper form correspondence.
