Insurance Authorization Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an Insurance Authorization Specialist for our healthcare client located in Northeast Portland. This position will be 100% onsite and a contract-to-hire, full-time opportunity. 

This position will be a high-volume of incoming calls assisting patients with their referrals and authorizations for durable medical equipment, ensuring they have all of the information needed for their orders. Interested candidates must feel comfortable taking a high-volume of calls while multitasking and performing data entry duties. This is a fast-paced environment. 

Requirements 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum 2 years insurance verification/authorizations/medical administrative experience 
  • Proficiency working within Epic EMR and Microsoft Office 
Skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially phone etiquette 
  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize throughout the day 
  • Can meet deadlines when needed and work well under pressure 
  • Ability to meet production metrics as outlined by management 
  • Able to work well independently and productively with little to no guidance 
  • Tech savvy and ability to work well within multiple software systems 

Pay Details: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour
