As a Field Mechanic at Crown Mechanical Solutions, you will contribute to the company's success by applying mechanical and electrical skills, along with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, to grow our scope and success. This position is based in the Chicago area. Job Requirements: High school diploma / GED required 1+ years experience in mechanical repair and troubleshooting 1+ years experience in minor electrical systems/controllers repair 1+ years experience servicing conveyor systems Ability to identify customer needs and match solutions with company products/services Knowledge of industry applications Willingness to take on call shift rotations for key customers Dependable vehicle and good driving record Own basic hand tools Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly Physical ability to bend, twist, kneel, stand, and sit regularly Maintain ethical and successful business conduct Self-motivated with a strong desire for professional growth Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills Ability to pass background and drug tests Work responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Install, demonstrate, maintain, and repair conveyor systems and other material handling equipment Provide mechanical and electrical solutions during service calls Read technical diagrams, detailed drawings, and electrical schematics Maintain detailed service records and notes Attend training sessions and meetings as required Assist with office-based duties when not in the field Stay current on market and technical trends Generate leads and additional work within existing customer accounts What’s in it for you?
