Linux Systems Administrator The Opportunity: Your technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. As a Linux System Administrator on our project, youll constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. Youll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Youll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. We focus on growing as a team, so youll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. You Have: 5+ years of experience with systems administration 3+ years of experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux or CentOS Experience managing virtual machines and VMware ESXi Knowledge of Linux firewalls, networking configuration, and DNS Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam Bachelor's degree in an IT field Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification within 60 days of start date Nice If You Have: Experience with AWS Experience managing systems using Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform Experience programming in Python Knowledge of bi-directional network transfer systems DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
