Job Description

Our client is a leader in the logistics industry and they wish to hire a “hands on” CFO that will be responsible for all financial functions and compliance with local, state and federal reporting requirements. The job has both strategic and tactical management responsibilities for accounting, finance, treasury, reporting, budgeting, financial policy, auditing and tax.

Essential duties will include-

• Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of the organization and its operations through metrics and financial measures and works closely with the executive leadership team to achieve maximum operational efficiency
• Participate in developing and implementing tactical and strategic plans that optimize current and future performance, including plans that design and articulate strategies that position the organization for ongoing investments in capital, programs, services, and clinical excellence
• Oversee the consolidation of financial reporting and strategic financial
• Work closely with administrative leadership, business development personnel, and human resources on operational improvements, the planning and implementation of new initiatives, and the management of staff resources and expenditures
• Drive organization-wide change within a complex, rapidly changing cost and operating model

Job Requirements-

• Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred
• CPA is preferred
• Experience with PE ownership
• Logistics industry experience required
• 10+ years relevant experience required
• Working knowledge of GAAP and federal and local tax regulation
• Knowledge of all accounting processes including accounts payable, payroll and general accounting and effective ability to prepare financial statements and operating reports
• Must be skilled at interpreting the abstract pieces of financial analysis and performance
• Strong understanding of credit facility covenants/relationships
