Job Description

Summary:

• Performs technical duties to prepare and care for pre-operative patients, including skin preparation, maintaining aseptic techniques, and providing comfort and privacy.

• Transports patients, positions them for surgery, and handles biological specimens.

• Sets up the Operating Room with instruments and supplies based on the surgical case.

• Assists under the supervision of a nurse, proficiently scrub in multiple specialties, and maintains a sterile environment.

• Uses physician preference cards, ensures safety protocols, and adheres to sterilization policies.

• Adapts care to meet patients' developmental and cultural needs.

• Requires high school diploma, completion of surgical tech or LVN/LPN program, BLS certification, and surgical technologist or LVN/LPN license.

• Preferred 2+ years of experience; per diem as needed. Demonstrates teamwork, technical expertise, and commitment to safety standards.
