Introduction: A healthcare provider in New Brunswick, NJ is currently seeking a locum Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for nighttime inpatient coverage in the Stroke and General Neurology service line. About the Opportunity: Hybrid or Remote: Onsite Shift: Nighttime Schedule: Flexible Schedule Hours: 6:00 PM – 7:30 AM Setting: Inpatient coverage Responsibilities: The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for: Providing inpatient neurology coverage, including responding to stroke codes Conducting NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and other neurological assessments Managing general neurology patients (10–15 per night, including consults) Collaborating with a neurology resident and two attendings available by phone Utilizing Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination Qualifications: Active NP or PA license in New Jersey Board Certified in specialty to maintain licensure Prior experience with inpatient neurology and stroke care preferred Comfortable working independently overnight with remote attending backup Strong communication skills Ability to work well in a team Strong critical thinking skills Desired Skills: 3+ years of experience in a similar role Advanced degree in healthcare or related field Experience with Epic EMR Proficient in conducting NIH Stroke Scale assessments Excellent problem-solving abilities #J-18808-Ljbffr Tandym Group Internal
