Job Description
We are seeking a strong and dynamic Project Execution Manager with proven project/program management expertise. This role requires someone who can roll up their sleeves, develop schedules, drive execution, and establish processes where they don’t yet exist. The individual will start as an individual contributor and may later gain support from offshore resources.
Key Details:
- Ensure delivery of new products and enhancements across multiple releases and teams by maintaining a summary roadmap and release scope document.
- Drive execution by ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
- Role is approximately two-thirds agile project/program management and one-third product/capacity management.
- Will manage two offshore project/release management contractors.
- Strongly prefer candidates with life insurance industry experience ; however, broader financial services, banking, or other insurance experience may be acceptable.
- Must have experience with JIRA, Rally, Polarion, or similar project management systems.
- Role is newly created, requiring a flexible, detail-oriented leader able to work up, down, and across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a medium- to high-level delivery roadmap planning, tracking, and communicating delivery timelines based on short- and long-term capacity.
- Conduct capacity, schedule, and roadmap planning with PI/AO (scrum) teams and maintain an overall release scope tracking calendar.
- Coordinate annual and ongoing sizing exercises.
- Manage intake of new or changed work and assess its impact on schedules and releases.
- Balance delivery by aligning scrum team capacity with release schedules (e.g., adjusting priorities based on size and timing).
- Support Tech Leads in tracking stories for each release—ensuring completeness, readiness, and adherence to pre-development deadlines across all scrum teams.
- Track and report on progress for each release, including schedule adherence, deliverables, and quality metrics (e.g., defect rates).
- Monitor budgets and capacity monthly, ensuring adjustments are made to align with delivery objectives.
- Coordinate with client stakeholders on budget reporting to provide consolidated, accurate updates.
- Support monthly executive meetings by preparing materials, driving pre-alignment, and following through on action items.

The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $65.00 - $70.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
