Job Description

A K-12 educational institution in Tracy, CA, is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming school year contract, running from July 29 to May 31. This role involves providing interpreting services to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a dynamic learning environment, working approximately 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation for students across various classrooms.
• Rotate throughout the campus as needed to assist multiple students during different class periods.
• Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum 4.0 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score.
• Proven experience in K-12 educational settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and educational interpreting techniques.
• Ability to work on-site in Tracy, CA; remote services are not accepted.
