Job Overview:

This individual is responsible for performing sterile processing procedures that include, decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and transportation of medical instrumentation/supplies/equipment and ancillary services to all requesting departments as required, under the supervision of the SSP Leadership.

In addition to meeting the basic qualifications of the Instrument Tech III, the Instrument Tech IV position has primary responsibility over a specified area or areas of specialty instrumentation. The Instrument Tech IV will be required to know all workstations and will be a mentor/preceptor to all other employees/new orientees.

Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education:

Graduated from an Accredited Surgical Technology program or completed HSPA instrument of patient care certification program for CRCST/CIS or CBSPD.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Program as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or a Sterile Supply CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)/CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) or a CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution).

CRCST/CIS, CBSPD, or CST and 2-5 years experience.

Shift: Days. Rotating Weekends, Holidays and On-call.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week. 9am - 5:30pm.
