Job Summary The Title Clerk at Sternberg Automotive Group plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper documentation and title processing for all vehicle sales. This full-time, hourly administrative position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals looking to join a reputable company in the Jasper, Indiana area. The Title Clerk will work closely with the Sales and Finance departments to ensure a smooth and efficient title transfer process. Responsibilities Process vehicle titles for all sales, including new and used vehicles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations Verify and submit all necessary paperwork, including titles, registration documents, and lien releases, to the appropriate state agencies and financial institutions Complete all required paperwork and documentation for certain sales transactions including but not limited to dealer trades and intercompany sales Review and process all documents for trade-in vehicles and prepare titles for resale Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to gather required paperwork and information for title processing Maintain and organize electronic and physical filing systems for all title documentation Keep updated on state and federal regulations and industry best practices for title processing Assist with other administrative tasks as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business beneficial Experience in vehicle title processing preferred Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to vehicle titles and registration a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage and organize paperwork Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively EEOC Statement Sternberg Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
