Transportation Manager

Location: Buffalo, NY

Salary: $90-95k + annual bonus + sign-on bonus

The transportation manager will be a hands-on warehouse leader responsible for managing daily drivers and fleet, driving route optimization, delivering top customer service and enforcing a strong culture of safety, teamwork and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong logistics leadership experience overseeing local or national deliveries and in-depth knowledge of sound safety procedures. This position will be based fully on-site out of their Buffalo, NY facility and offers a base salary of $90-95,000 with annual performance-based bonus potential and a competitive sign on bonus.

The Transportation manager will be responsible for…

• Enforce a safety-first culture for all warehouse employees and customers.
• Manage drivers delivering both locally and nationally from training and development, conflict resolution and strong leadership. Conduct driver meetings and schedule working shifts.
• Assist Sr Transportation Manager with the management/mentorship of a Transportation Coordinator.
• Assess team performance, coach on culture and safety standards and enforce protocol.
• Oversee production goals with accuracy to deliver top customer satisfaction. Problem-solve when issues arise and drive cost effective and sound solutions.
• Deliver detailed records keeping.

The ideal Transportation Manager should have…

• 3+ years of experience within transportation, logistics, warehouse distribution, or related field.
• Experience including overseeing a workforce (delivery drivers preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of transportation operations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
