• Location: Middlebury, VT 05753 (Addison County, Vermont)\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2610 - $2800\n
• Assignment Length: Up to 25 weeks\n
• Start Date: December 8, 2025\n
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, 6:30am–5:00pm), rotating weekly and weekend call\n
• Hours per Week: 40\n
• Holiday Requirement: Work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)\n
• Patient Age Range: 0–99 years\n
• Unit: Surgical Services – Operating Room (Ortho, General, ENT, Urology, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, OBGYN, Endoscopy)\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience\n
• Prior travel nursing experience required\n
• Experience with C-sections required\n
• Ability to circulate; scrub nurse experience highly preferred\n
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications\n
• EPIC documentation experience within the past 2 years (required)\n
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle (no public transportation available)\n
• Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November–April (Vermont nursing jobs winter requirement)\n

\n\nOperating Room Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver perioperative nursing care in a 2-OR, 1 procedure room, and endoscopy suite\n
• Circulate and/or scrub for surgical specialties: ortho, general, ENT, urology, podiatry, ophthalmology, OBGYN, and endoscopy\n
• Assist with C-sections and specialized surgical procedures\n
• Document patient care using EPIC; manage medications with Pyxis\n
• Respond to rotating weekly and weekend call (20-minute call back requirement)\n
• Collaborate with anesthesia and respiratory support teams (available 24/7)\n
• Maintain patient safety and deliver high-quality care for all age groups\n
• Follow hospital protocols for infection control and patient confidentiality\n
