\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 13-week assignment working 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
\n• Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule block
\n• Currently maintaining 1:5 patient ratios with goal of 1:4
\n• Expected to float as needed to other PCU units and potentially Med Surg
\n• 32 hours of orientation required
\n• Must have 1 year of nursing experience and patient ratio experience of 5
\n• EPIC experience required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Skills required: Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, cardiac drips management (no titration), nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients with hospitalist service, pulmonary and other medicine related illnesses
\n• Unit can accommodate 2 ventilated patients and has 2 vent capable beds for chronic trach patients
\n• Work with special procedures including chest tubes, IV drips, trach care, PICC lines, and oxygen modes including CPAP and BiPAP
\n• Required to work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment (2 holidays during winter season)
\n• All RTO must be submitted upfront with application

\nThis healthcare facility features a 20-bed telemetry PCU that specializes in caring for patients on the hospitalist service with pulmonary and other medicine-related illnesses. The unit serves as an alternate location for renal and other medical patients and maintains comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility utilizes remote telemetry monitoring and has implemented tele-sitting technology to enhance patient care and safety.
