Job Title: Registered Dietitian – Inpatient Clinical
Location: Bronx, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time, Union Position
Facility Size: 450-bed Acute Care Hospital

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate  Registered Dietitian (RD)to join our clinical nutrition team at our 450-bed hospital. This union position offers the stability of a strong benefits package, including a pension plan, and the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for hospitalized patients
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting plans as needed
• Provide medical nutrition therapy for a variety of patient populations, including critical care, surgical, cardiac, renal, and oncology
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
• Document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely and accurate manner
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and staff as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and professional standards of practice

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Current Registered Dietitian credential (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York
• Inpatient clinical experience preferred, but  new graduates with strong internship experience are welcome and encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care
