Specific responsibilities include:
\n - Splice wires with knives or cutting pliers, and solder connections to fixtures and equipment.
\n - Diagnose or repair problems with electronic equipment in motor vehicles.
\n - Inspect, test, and install electrical or electronic systems to locate and diagnose malfunctions, using visual inspections and testing instruments such as voltmeters.
\n - Run new electrical cables.
\n - Cut openings and drill holes for fixtures and equipment, using electric drills.
\n - Replace and clean electrical or electronic components.
\n - Remove seats, carpeting, and interiors of doors; add sound-absorbing material in empty spaces; and reinstall interior parts.
\n - Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
\n - Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
\n - Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, using hand tools or power tools.
\n - Plan, layout, and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
\n - Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
\n - Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
\n - Other duties as needed to meet Production requirements.
