Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a *Mohs Histotechnologist* to work with our team*.*
*Duties of this position include the following:*
* Previous experience as a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician, with experience in processing dermatological specimens
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of all technical aspects in the areas of histology and pathology, laboratory techniques, and quality control
* Ability to embed, cut, stain, and mount tissue specimens following established policies and procedures and laboratory standards.
* Grossing experience is required.
* Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with superiors, peers, physicians, and others
* Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
* Strong organizational and computer skills
*Education/Certifications: *
* High School diploma or GED is required.
* Histotechnologist (HTL, ASCP) or Histotechnician (HT, ASCP) certification is preferred.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field acceptable if not certified.
*Qualifications: *
* Must have 2-3 years of working as a Histotech.
* Prior dermatology experience is preferred.
* Prior experience working in a Mohs clinic is required.
* Quality written and verbal communication skills.
* Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
* Able to demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.
* Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
* Troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills required.

*Equipment Operated:* Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
*Physical Requirements: *Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
