About the Role: In this role, you’ll work as part of a high-performing team to design and implement functionality for data processing applications, while owning key parts of the software development lifecycle. You’ll have the opportunity to build integrations with existing systems, work with open-source tools, and contribute to cloud-native deployments. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph. Role Highlights:
-Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and Technical Leads to translate requirements into user stories.
-Build with automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality CI/CD deployments.
-Develop web APIs to connect cloud applications and databases.
-Work as part of an Agile team to deliver software iteratively.
-Integrate Python code into Docker containers as part of a distributed architecture.
-Design software components independently based on requirements.
-Guide technical design and architecture in alignment with best practices.
-Engage with customer stakeholders to align on requirements and implementations. Required Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of experience with:
-Data Processing Python libraries such as PySpark, Pandas, and NumPy
-API development in Python using libraries such as FastAPI
-Unit testing frameworks such as PyTest (including mocking)
-Familiarity with large-scale data processing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment
-Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile delivery Preferred Skills/Experience:
-Python ORM tools for database-as-code such as SQLAlchemy
-Deploying containerized Python code using Docker on cloud platforms such as AWS
-Using NLP toolkits and frameworks in production systems
