Remote position

As an Enrolled Agent at Brown & Sterling, you'll work directly with individuals and businesses to prepare and file tax returns, represent clients before the IRS, and provide trusted tax planning and advisory services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and passionate about simplifying the tax process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of tax returns, including individual, corporate (S Corp and C Corp), partnership, estate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt organization filings.
• Ensure all returns comply with current tax laws and IRS regulations.
• Assist clients with setting up IRS payment plans and resolving tax issues.
• Represent clients in communications with the IRS to address and resolve inquiries or problems.
• Support the Senior Management team with special projects and other assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have your PTIN and Federal EA authorization.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of tax concepts related to individuals, corporations, and partnerships, with a willingness to continue your tax knowledge growth.
• Tax research skills.
• Proficient with tax preparation systems - we will train you in CCH Axcess.
• Heightened ability to problem solve.
• Team mentality.
• At least 5 years of experience as an EA.
